当数字&数学碰到英语该怎么说？年份/百分比/小数点怎么说

 

 

One, two, three...使用英语时通常情况下遇到这种简单的数字，这些大家一定没问题。但当我们碰到大数字、百分比、分子分母分数、小数点这些，要怎么用英语念你知道吗？

But when numbers are in English, it's a different story: 但如果数字遇到英语，就是另一回事咯

 

“我没什么数字概念”、“我是数盲” 用英语怎么表达？Innumerate: 数盲、数字、数学很差，口语基本不会用到这个词。Bad with numbers: 口语里最常用的说法就是这个，注意这里的介词是with, 而不是at (虽然good at.../bad at...是固定搭配，但遇到numbers, words这些概念的词，会用with)要记得噢！

 

年份

现在的2022，你会用英语怎么说？

Two thousand and twenty-two没错，但是太复杂，口语里可以说:

Twenty twenty-two

再来举几个例子

2010: twenty ten

2015: twenty fifteen

2050: twenty fifty

所以规律就是把它分为2个两位数念，19xx年也是一样的规则

但是遇到2001, 2002这些怎么念呢？

这里，就要用thousand来表达了

2001: two thousand and one

2002:  two thousand and two

并且口语里也常省略and

 

百分比

Percentage: 百分比（这个概念), 但遇到实际的数字，我们会用percent

这里，大家只要记住，英语百分比的念法跟中文顺序相反，先念数字，再加个percent

比如

85%: eighty-five percent

90%: ninety percent

100%: one hundred percent或a hundred percent

后续我们也会看到很多例子，1可以念one或者a

 

 

分数

Fraction: 分数

分母: denominator

分子: numerator

分数的英语念法有个很形象的方法：

1 over 2: 1/2

1 over 3: 1/3

学分数的表达，我们可以先学着一组固定表达

1/2:  half或者a half或者one half都可以

1/3: a third或者one third，不能说three, 要用third

1/4: a quarter或者one quarter；也可以说one fourth或者a fourth

3/4: three quarters (quarter要用复数)

大家发现了吗，分数的表达也跟中文相反。先说分子，再说分母

另外，非常重要的是分母后面要加th

1/5: one fifth或者a fifth

3/5: three-fifths

3/7: three-sevenths

1/8: one eighth或者an eighth

1/10: one tenth或者a tenth

发音小窍门：分数的表达经常后面会跟of, 比如three fifths of the population. 因此"th"可以与of连读, 听起来有点像thof

 

小数点

Decimal: 小数点（概念)

口语里会用point来表达

比如:

8.8: eight point eight

88.8: eighty-eight point eight

88.88: eighty-eight point eight eight

注意，小数点后面的数字要一个一个单独说，而不是变成两位数、三位数，例如eighty eight

0.xx怎么说?

Zero point xxx, 比如

0.8：zero point eight

0.88: zero point eight eight

但是，口语里也可以省略说zero，大家有机会留意native speaker或者英语媒体，如果说到point...意思就是0.xxx

但是如果0出现在其它位置，就不可以省略，比如

265.01: two hundred sixty five point zero one
